Sprocket size is determined according to the number of diameters and slots. Stainless steel has sus304.201 and other grades. Sprockets according to the installation size, speed ratio, torque, equipment use to select the model.

The general principle of the number of sprocket teeth selection: more than 19 teeth are generally used for driving sprockets operating at medium and high speed and under normal working conditions.
17 teeth for small pitch drive sprockets only.
23 teeth or more, recommended for impact cases. When the speed ratio is low, the sprocket with a high number of teeth can greatly reduce the momentum of the i link, the tensile load of the chain and the load of the bearing.
